For one of the best burgers in New York, come to Whitmans!!! Seriously, it was amazing. I ordered the Juicy Lucy as that was the most popular item on the menu.

Beef short rib blend burger stuffed with pimento cheese, served with caramelized onion, lettuce, tomato, spicy pickles and special sauce. caution: juicy lucy is very hot in the middle and might squirt.

It lived up to it’s hype!! There were so many other things I wanted to try so I will definitely be coming back. My boyfriend ordered The Hound for instance which had a patty with bacon bits cooked inside and some thin cut fries on top giving it a phenomenal smokey taste. A bit easier to eat than the Juicy Lucy as well. To start the four of us shared sweet potato fries with their famous blue cheese sauce (inhaled) and a fresh kale salad to make sure we were getting some greens… 😉

We ate downstairs which only has about 8 tables but it’s really cozy and feels like you’re eating in someones own living room. I’m pretty sure they don’t take reservations so maybe come a bit early and chill with a beer upstairs to offset the wait. They have an upstairs with bar stools available for a quick bite or the small restaurant space downstairs. They do delivery.
